Blu Seafood and Bar and Hope Valley Bottle Shop are teaming up for a Lowcountry Wine Dinner on Wednesday, February 10th at 7pm.
The cost is $45 per person plus tax and gratuity and you can call Blu for reservations at (919) 286-9777.
The wine pairings will not be available until the dinner tomorrow, but here’s the menu:

Pork & Pinot @ Wine Authorities (2/13)

Pinot and whole hog sandwiches from Coon Rock Farm, a local, sustainable, family owned farm, will be available this Saturday, February 13th from 12-4pm at Wine Authorities in Durham. Donation request is $5 cash per sandwich with wine and 100% of the money raised goes to the Food Bank of Durham. Canned and non-perishable food items also gladly accepted with your donation.
Note: This event was rescheduled due to snow and ice over the last two weekends.

Daniel Perry, owner of Daniel’s Restaurant & Catering, is hosting a French wine dinner led by Daniel Haas, vice president of Vineyard Brands, on Wednesday, February 3rd at 6:30 p.m. The five-course dinner will feature six wine selections. Triangle Wine Experience 2010

Coming up on the weekend of February 4-6th is the Triangle Wine Experience which is made up of a bunch of wine-related fundraising events for the Frankie Lemmon Foundation. Registration for the weekend’s events is currently available through the Triangle Wine Experience website and also by phone at (919) 845-8880.
Thursday, February 4
Wine Maker Dinners, 7:00pm, $125 per person
Hosted by winemakers and winery owners from all over the country, this evening pairs some of the Triangle’s hottest restaurants with the world’s finest wines. This year, attendees will be able to choose from 30 amazing pairings of the finest wines with cuisines designed to compliment them.
Friday, February 5
Sip, Shop & Sign, 5-6:30pm
Local retail shops will host participating wine makers/winery owners to sample their wines to customers to can taste, buy and have their bottle signed.
Saturday, February 6
Grand Gala and Auction, 5:30pm, $150 per person
Two spirited auctions, live and silent, provide you the opportunity to bid on spectacular wines, exotic trips, unique dining experiences, fine are and grand-format tastings all specifically created for The Triangle Wine Experience. The auction is followed by a black tie grand gala with dancing, drinks and dessert.
Funds raised by the Triangle Wine Experience support the Frankie Lemmon School and Developmental Center, a non-profit preschool for children with special education needs. This tuition-free developmental center serves children ages 3-6 who have developmental delays, language impairments, learning disabilities, or mental retardation. Without the funds raised from Triangle Wine Experience, the school could not exist.

East Wake Wines is hosting an in-store cooking demo with wine and beer pairings on Monday, January 25 from 6-8pm featuring Wine Guy Ken Eshenbaugh and Personal Chef Extraordinaire Wendy Perry for $30 a person.
Pre-registration is required either in person at the store or over the phone by calling (919) 518-5025. Be sure you can make it (or find someone to take your place) because there are no refunds.

Zely & Ritz is serving a 5th Anniversary Tasting Menu starting Wednesday, January 20 and it will be available for the rest of the month.
