Saint Jacques French Cuisine is hosting a wine dinner, A Tribute to Auguste Escoffier, on Tuesday, August 17, at 6:30 pm. The cost is $72 per person (plus tax and gratuity); call (919) 862.2770 for reservations.

Escoffier was a French chef and culinary writer legendary among chefs and gourmands worldwide and the leader in the development of modern French cuisine. Each course is included in “The Escoffier Cookbook and Guide to the Fine Art of Cookery.”
