Second Empire Restaurant and Tavern in Raleigh is having a wine dinner as part of their Wine Educator Series on Tuesday, October 27th at 7pm. Call (919) 829-3663 for pricing information and to make a reservation.

The Menu:

first course
Pan-Roasted “Diver” Sea Scallop with creamy saffron risotto, Johnston Co. sweet potato, wilted spinach, spicy haricot vert, poblano & tomato vert jus

second course
Sautéed Cajun-Spiced Alaskan Halibut with cannellini bean & pork belly ragout, country-style collard greens, sliced radish & grapefruit, curry apple cream

third course
Grilled Scottish Salmon Pavé with stone-ground grits & smoked tomato, roasted cauliflower puree, grilled asparagus, fennel& port jus

fourth course
Grilled New Zealand Venison Rack with pommery mustard & herb spatzel, roasted butternut squash, braised Swiss chard, juniper red wine sauce
