Fall Wine Dinner @ XIOS

XIOS and Apex Beverage Company are hosting a Fall Wine Dinner on Sunday, November 23 at 5:30pm. The cost is $55 a person (plus tax and tip) and reservations need to be made by calling (919) 363-5288.

The Menu:

Homemade pita bread chips with a variety of homemade greek spreads, including hummus, tirokafteri and melitzanosalata
Riondo Prosecco Sparkling Wine

First Course
Moussaka: a lamb version of a Greek favorite… layers of sautéed slices of eggplant and ground lamb flavored with tomatoes, onions, and cinnamon, and covered with a bechmel sauce sprinkled with grated cheese
2006 Felsina Chianti Classico

Second Course
Yemistes: a variety of seasonal vegetables stuffed with cheeses and herbs
2003 La Palazzetto Brunello di Montalcino

Third Course
Lamb Stifado: a traditional hearty Greek stew made with lamb sautéed in red wine and tomato sauce spiced with herbs and baby shallot onions and served over rice

Creme Brulee with Roasted Hazelnuts: traditional Creme Brulee consisting of a rich custard base topped with a layer of hard caramel, served with roated hazelnuts
Kopke Fine Tawny Port
