Wine Dinner @ Elaine’s on Franklin

Elaine’s on Franklin in Chapel Hill is celebrating its ninth anniversary with a six-course wine dinner on Sunday, October 26 at 6pm. Call (919) 960-2770 for reservations, the cost is $100 (before tax and gratuity).

Start with oysters Rockefeller and move on to sweet garlic bisque with local cabbage and bacon confit and fried oysters, then Spanish paprika cured tuna loin with almonds, roasted eggplant and peppers, and two more courses involving turkey breast and pork tenderloin. The mouthwatering finish is El Rey bittersweet chocolate panna cotta with shortbread, Valencia oranges and buttermilk froth.
