Thanksgiving Wine Dinner @ Glass Half Full

Glasshalfull in Carrboro is hosting a Thanksgiving-inspired wine dinner with Executive Chef Ricky Moore on Tuesday, November 11 for $65 per person (plus tax and gratuity). 10% of proceeds will go to RSVVP to help feed the hungry in the Triangle. Please call (919) 967-9784 for reservations.

Executive Chef Ricky Moore will prepare a special menu inspired by the Thanksgiving dishes he created as a contestant on the Food Network’s Iron Chef America in 2007.

The Menu:

Heirloom pumpkin velouté, cider-glazed pork belly, chanterelles and Arkansas black apples
Luna Argenta prosecco, Italy

Caramelized polenta-corn dressing with stewed turkey thigh meat, celery root, and black truffles
Lawson’s Dry Hills chardonnay, 2003, New Zealand

Twice-cooked heritage turkey breast, fried poultry seasoning and Beaujolais-cranberry soubise
Four Vines zinfandel “old vines,” 2006, California

Pancetta-wrapped venison loin, caramelized brussels sprouts, parsnip purée and pomegranate-sage granola
Domaine de Fenouillet VdP de Vaucluse, 2007, France

N.C. sweet potato doughnut, ginger glaze and maple-pecan ice cream
Broadbent Madeira 5 year reserve, Portugal
