NC wines reviewed at IndyWeek.com

A local food blogger who likes wine and some other local wine folks gathered around to do a blind tasting featuring NC wines with a few imposters thrown in for some perspective.

I think it’s easy to bash North Carolina wines, but with more opening every year, it’s a good time to give some a try. Personally I’ve tasted several since living here and find them to be overpriced and frankly, not that great on average.

I found the above article interesting because it proves again that everyone’s tastes are different (politeness aside) and it never hurts to at least try something new, you may be surprised. For example, I may be picking up a bottle of the Old North State red in the near future. :)
