BrandyWine Cellars tasting notes
vino wrote this on August 24, 2008
We found two new wines we liked at the weekly free wine tasting at BrandyWine Cellars yesterday afternoon…
Vinum Chenin Blanc from South Africa, we are always on the lookout for South African wines and this one did not disappoint. Grassy, minerally and tart. I also got the distributor’s card (hi Laura!) to see if she has any of the South African wines we tried during our last trip. We’ll post our findings here!
Michael David Petite Petit, a blend of Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot from Lodi, California. Brown sugar on the nose with silky soft tannins, a hint of smoke and some red berries. Very nice.
